The West Australian (Perth, WA : 1879-1954), Wednesday 6 March 1946, page 3
MAN FOUND SHOT. Rile Wound in Temple. Found lying with a bullet wound in his left temple on the kitchen floor of his home in Walker-street, South Fremantle, about 4.30 p.m. yesterday, Percival John Hilibrick (70), was dead when medically examined. It is understood be had been in a serious state of ill-health for some time and had been under medical attention. According to statements made last night, the deceased's physician was summoned when Hillbrick was found on the kitchen floor in a state of collapse, presumably dead, about 4.30 p.m. A neighbour, lending assistance, noticed the wound in the temple and a 0.22 rifle, which was partially concealed by the body. When the doctor arrived Hilibrick was already dead. The deceased's daughter-in-law, Isabel Hlllbrlck, who had been about the house during the afternoon, had not heard a shot fired.
